Concerning Teamkilling

Why doesn't AssaultCube just do away with it? Can't they do something server-side to make team damage have no effect on teammates? Is there any logical reason to kill a teammate (besides him shooting you first, considering that wouldn't happen without tking)? It's quite annoying... and the perfect example happened to me today. I'll explain in screenshots.

So I went into that huge server that always has the map bs_dust2 (the one thats like a replica from CS:S) and started doing fairly well. decided I'd take a screenshot every now and then before I died

Game Over. I died 3 times in the last minute and maybe 10 seconds, all team kills(two were accidental).


Call me a perfectionist but, 9.75 KD isn't acceptable if I can be pulling 39~ without team killing on. Who actually USES team killing for an acceptable reason? Especially now with the voting system, it's nearly impossible to get rid of a team killer because the other team just doesn't give a fuck and votes it down.

I'm not really sure where this needs to go, but I figured I'd rant it here to get some input.

Yeah my record is 64-0 for tosok, on ac_artic (didn't get kicked though)

Something has got to change, I would be happy if team damage just did LESS damage, but accidently sniping my mates is never fun and I know they don't enjoy accidently fragging me either.

Until something is done about either the amount of team killing idiots or the voting system though, I don't play for very long because I get annoyed. I have like half the KD I should usually thanks to team killing.

This is a game, and it's meant to be fun.
It's hard to have fun with idiots team killing and the voting system being completely ineffective for dealing with them.

i think that after 3 tks they should be automatically kiked if they keep tking CONTINOUSLY if it jus vhappens by accident onece in a wile i dont care but if that same gy keeps cumin bak and tking i think he shud be autobanned

The problem is most of the truly annoying TKers get like 12 frags then start TKIng so they don't reach the -2 or whatever limit, I'm sure they would find a way around that too. If the voting system was fixed we wouldn't have an issue though, the way it works now it can be 11-0 and if there is 15 people who didn't vote the vote fails.

Yeah it makes your a better shooter say a teammate is infront of you shooting an enemy and your behind your teamate , your shooting tactics will increase or improve to shoot aroundyour teammate i dont know how to explain it clearly bu tif i find out how i will surely post!!

Then instead of posting here, pick up and move over to the main AC forums and suggest your fix to the voting issue. If you were ever there, you would notice that there have been dozens of threads on the same issue, and dozens of players trying to come up with a better way to do it. So if you have a better way, do something about it, rather than bitch.

ahh easy if outa of all the votes made the one with the most votes wins for e.g. kick Takk|W$N|, yes:1, no:2. now since no has more then no wins simple maybe programming it might not be
